A Quick Example

You have just found a cool web page here: 

            http://www.somedomainname.com/
            directory1/directory2/page.cgi
            ?parameter1=abc&parameter2=def

You want to text the link to some of your friends and email it to others.

The Problem

The URL is long and it will be a LOT of typing on a phone keypad.

It also wraps when you paste it into an email and the link may get broken.

The Solution

  1. Paste the URL into the tag creation form and click the [Create New Tag] button.
  2. The form will return a tag and the matching short link to you (e.g. dadg and http://jumptag.com/dadg).
  3. Now text and email the new short link to your friends!

As your friends now know what a jumptag is, in future just send them the tag!

Why Is It So Easy?

  • The tags use only the first letter on each of your phone keypad buttons.
  • Neighbouring tag letters are never the same, so you don't need to pause or move your cursor while texting.
  • Capitals or lowercase is fine, so no need to change between them when texting.
  • Tags are short, so you will have plenty of space to add your message as well!
